I need to hear from all of you!

What brands of batting have you tried? What are your favorites? Do you use the same brand over and over like I did afraid to try somthing new because you were unsure of the results? Have you tried a batting and had a bad experience? What went wrong? Please let me hear from you!

Debra, I usually use Warm N White becuase if is widely available where I live and because it is reasonably priced. I also like that it is 100% cotton and therefore wrinkles slightly to give that "old-fashioned" look :)
I tried some 100% polyester years ago, but didn't like it much. There wasn't much definition to the quilting and the polyester traps the heat, making it uncomfortable unless you are in extreme cold.

The reason I haven't tried lots of different kinds is because I don't want to risk not being happy with the finished quilt after I have already put so much work into the top.

I've used Warm and Natural (only want to machine quilt on that, did one wall hanging hand quilted, that was enough!), Warm and White, Hobbs heirloom 80/20 (hand and machine quilted), Hobbs wool (hand and machine quilted, rather like this one, and how it sleeps under), Quilter's Dream (only machine quilted, although I thought about hand, and it seems like it would be nice for that). I have a silk batting somewhere I want to try hand quilting with, but don't have the quilt made yet that I want to use it with, if that makes sense.
